Last Friday, our CookWell trainees had a crash course in how to prepare forty pounds of mango salsa in under four hours. It was a lesson in patience, with each ingredient sliced and diced to precision size. 2019 NJ State Chili and Salsa Cookoff!
Chef Frank, who for fourteen straight years had won 1st Place People’s Choice Award in the salsa category, was determined to repeat the feat. And so he did, raking in the prize for a record fifteenth year! Frank is looking forward to sharing the news with Zakee, Ernest and Aaron, and requests that we please not spill the beans.
